Above are rapid sketches that show the thinking process in my search for a suitable component for a target group passengers' fill-in. The task was to allow users to fill in the minimum amount of passengers and, if they wanted to, the maximum amount of passengers as well. Since there was no suitable component in our design system, I looked for a smooth, clear and simple module to develop. During the exploration phase, I scribbled down any idea I had, even if it was cumbersome, knowing that when I looked at them all together the best solution will arise. And so it did. We replaced the hotel cards with a square shape to give hotel images more focus and visibility. When the user selects a vacation, they expect to move on to the next step, which causes frustration when they don't. Hotel card CTAs and 'More Details' are too close to one another, which might cause mistakes. The 'Selected Vacation' component is not noticeable enough. 'Selected Vacation’ appears twice and is a waste of expensive space. Flights' information should be more visible. An essential component of the platform is to accompany the customer's bidding process and to inform them on every update or change. The airline communicates with their customers by email. This project was one of my first projects at Bidflyer.
